Appointments

Telephone the Surgery before 11:00 and you can get an appointment the same day unless you want to be seen by a particular Doctor, in which case please be prepared to wait until the next surgery when that Doctor is available.

All consultations are by appointment which can be made by either telephoning the Surgery on 0121 458 2550 or calling in at Reception. If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be reallocated.

Advice By Telephone

If your problem is straightforward and does not need an appointment, please call the surgery between 9am and 12 midday to speak to a Doctor.

Home Visits

We only visit housebound patients because the range of clinical facilities is better at the surgery and it allows us to provide you and your family a better service.

If possible please try to telephone reception before 11:00 if you require a home visit.

If you feel that you cannot get to the surgery, please call and ask to speak to a Doctor.  Please be prepared to give brief details of the problem and a contact number.  A doctor will phone you back.   

Training And Teaching

We are committed to training Doctors of the future and have strong links with the University of Birmingham Medical School and the GP training unit.  We usually have two registrars, these Doctors will be fully qualified and will be gaining experience in General Practice before pursuing a career as a G.P.  He/she will be involved in all aspects of work at the Surgery and may offer special expertise.

The Practice has also been chosen by Birmingham University to help it teach medical students. You may be asked to see them for teaching purposes. This will only take place with your approval and the strict supervision of Drs Coward, Dr Pash, Dr Hosfield and Dr Conroy.
