One of the things that makes our practice so good is that we are constantly involved in teaching at all levels. This benefits the practice and the patients in a number of ways. The most important thing is that by being involved in teaching all the doctors at the practice have to be constantly keeping themselves up to date. It is also an opportunity for you to be involved in the training of the future doctors.
The training that you will see most often is that of the registrar who for the duration of their training form an important part of the team. Click here to find out more about this person.
On certain days you will also see medical students at in the practice. We feel very honoured to have been accepted by the University of Birmingham to help train the doctors of the future. This is also a sign of the quality of care we provide our patients as the University will only accept practices of the highest standard.
On most occasions the receptionist will inform you if there is a student sitting in on the consultation. If you do not feel comfortable with this then please inform the receptionist or doctor. You do not have to have a student sitting in and your care will not be affected if you refuse to be seen with the student.
